Genre mentions Wendy Melvoin

Genre magazine (a magazine similar to Details, but directed at gay men) recently published their list of essential music titled "gAy to Z; A Primer on Crucial Albums in the Queer Pantheon". Here's an interesting excerpt about "Constant Craving" by k.d. lang:

"k.d. lang Ingenue (1992). Disowned by country fans who objected to her lesbian-ism and equally sinister vegetarianism, lang achieved crossover success with "Constant Craving," insipired by her love for a "married woman," later revelaled to be Wendy of Wendy & Lisa."

Quite interesting - I never heard that take on the song, but it kinda makes sense... after all, k.d. & the girls have been playing together for years, notably with k.d. on Eroica & Wendy & Lisa on "drag"
