7th Oakland review

well, its monday morning and i've digested my seventh prince show fully and here is my little review. prince came up very strong here in oakland. a great 2 hr show. millennia opened up and were downright awful. no moves. good singers but just plain dead, no energy. the funky baldheads were basically a soundcheck. nothing special. prince came on and did pretty much the same show he has been doing. the difference was the middle part where he was selling us the npg music club. they performed new songs. u make my sun shine was my highlight. millennia came out to sing backup and did well. the final song purple rain was brilliant. no speeches, no b.s, just a great singalong and guitar work. it looked like a sellout from wjere i was so about 20,000 fans had a great time. the lights came up and nop one had left. he could have played another 30 minutes. that is how much energy there was. the work was another great highlight. overall, i went into this expecting a good show. what i got was a fantastic energetic happy prince giving us what we want.
