Oh God, I was struck with so much distaste when people were saying that they were gonna pay $600.00 to meet Prince. But now I'm seriously considering paying $300.00, because of the chance to meet Lisa and Wendy at the meet and greet!

I'm such a geek.

Um... Weren't the VIP tix recently up for bid starting at $300!?! If I won this package via auction, and the seller turned around and retailed the exact same thing for less, I'd be pissed.

Somebody call me when the "normal joe" tickets go on sale. I'll just bring opera glasses.

In consideration of BOTH Sheila's charity and long-time Minneapolis sound "fams," here's hoping ticket/auction sales come way, WAY down!

Um yeah "Geek".

The meet and greet for Prince in Oz were actually $999 and a couple of cents change outta $1000. I kinda reckon the $300 price tag for this event is quite sane (considering it goes to a worthy cause doesnt it?). I wonder what the worthy cause was at Prince's gigs...hmmm...himself..lol.

my point eaxactly!... ticket sales DO go to a worthy cause therefore i believe MANY more would be ABLE to contribute 40 or 50 bucks a head rather than the select few fanatics who'd be WILLING to spend hundreds.

Yeah but that's why there's only 50+ of these VIP tickedts for the "fanatics" you refer to, and the rest of the 18,000 seat arena will be for the other able ones.

I think I'm gonna try for 2 of those VIP tickets. It would be a dream come true for me and someone I'd surprise ... and, trust me, Prince will be there. He and Sheila will make those dinosaurs play their asses off! *LOL!* It just makes sense, with Purple Rain being re-released. That presents a rare opportunity to promote that, or at least to show off the New Power Generation.

But even if he doesn't show up, I mean you got legends like Chaka and Patti on the mic! And it's for such a great cause - how can you go wrong?

Besides, growing up I think I wanted to be Sheila almost as much as I wanted to be Prince ... *grin!*

I'm definitely going to be online going for those $300 tix. Meeting all the musical acts I admired when I was in high school and college is worth the money and a once in a lifetime opportunity.

This is for charity and is the only reason I'm willing to pay $300.

First of all NMe and everlasting now I understand that this is charity, but I don't think that you all understand that no one does charities for free.Second of all wheather it is for a charity or not if your going to spend 300 dollars to see anyone what difference does it make.90 percent of the comments on this sight are good wheather I agree or not but then you have some people that makes dumb comments for whatever reason, my guess is for some kind of attention. By the way ,if prince is such a greedy fuck as you put it ,why do you bother coming to this sight.yea just as I thought.

I'm not going to get into all this bickering... but I do want to clarify something.

Sheila has stated that all the artists for Family Jamm are donating their time/services for the event which is very admirable. So I don't really know what was meant by the above.

Moreover, I've heard they are putting this event together with very little resources so that the vast majority and perhaps 100% of the money will go to the charity. So those of us who do buy tickets at whatever price will know we are supporting a great cause, as well having the privilege to attend such a great concert.

All the artists are performing for free. Check this message from: http://www.lilangelbunny....jnews.html

Behind the Family Jamm!
A very special & heartfelt thanks to all who are generously dedicating their time to make The 1st Annual Family Jamm! come true! All confirmed performing artists are donating and waiving any and all fees so that all proceeds from this event go to the Lil' Angel Bunny Foundation (LABF) in order to build the Compassion Care Center for disadvantaged children. Furthermore, we have a volunteer team of organizers, producers, managers, and graphic & web designers who have committed to donate their time and talents in order to support LABF for this benefit concert. Only with their help, and through their passionate contribution, are we able to make this happen! We truly thank them from the bottom of our hearts.

I'm sure you'll be able to find a ticket up close if Prince is confirmed later. But Prince is NOT assured.
