just back from the prince concert in kc. it was my 80th concert over the last 15 years i it was a really cool 1. he played "the work", "ummss" in the normal set. otherwise it was the same like last november. only "..will be paid" is no more in the set list.
"purple rain" was verry emotional (even it's not 1 of my faforits). "ummss" is live much better than on cd. so i like ballads! the end was with "u got the look", "kiss" and "gett off" the show started at 9:25 with a 5 minutes brack and ended at 11:35 so 2h 5min.



the aterparty was at a club called "the monaco". there was a 20$ charge but for npgmc members (with ticket) it was free. the monaco looks like a old ballroom. unfortunally only about 200 people where there (about 1/4 full)...



the house dj from prince played some hip hop and new prince tunes. at 1:35 mike scott, dvs and John Blackwell arrived and talked with the people. 10 minutes later prince also arrived (for the ladies: all in black) and stayed on the stage next by the dj boot.



like evertime at partys like this: 99% of the people r watching like in a zoo. just a couple of people where dancing. because it was verry dark on stage prince was hardly 2 see. after 15 minutes prince was leaving and just 5 minutes later the club was empty.....



mike scott looked like he was not ready for bed. he walked out of the club 2 walk just 2 blocks for a club called "empire room".
