1st report from Little Rock Hit n Run

Wow! Thats the only word I know to use about what I witnessed tonight. Let me just say I've been to two concerts other than this one. One in Dallas last December, and another in Little Rock in 97 for the "Jam of the year" tour. This blew both of those absolutely out of the water. I think maybe it being Kip and Morris' homestate had something to do with it. It would probably be better to list what songs he didnt play. It included I think 3 encores (I lost count), and his energy was out of this world! He even said he was in a good mood and it showed completely. He played a totally different set list from the Dallas show I saw of the same tour just 4 months ago. He played complete songs for the most part, including I think just about the entire Purple Rain album! Not to mention Housequake, and U got the look from "Sign". The only new song he played was "The Work pt. 1". So for the fans who are looking for new songs this show wasn't the one for you. But just let me say, me only being 21 I never got to see these songs played live in their entirety, but tonight changed all of that! Growing up hearing his music blasting from my older brother's stereo is what originally turned me to Prince. I really got into him about 4 years ago when I bought a few of his albums. Here lately after witnessing what I felt were half-assed concerts and listening to half-assed songs I was losing interest in him and his music, how I wished I could have witnessed those concerts of the past that I have heard so much about and witnessed with my own eyes through videos. Well tonight just changed my mind 100%. This concert was different, dont ask me why, maybe he was in a extra good mood, hell I dont know. But let me tell you "The Kid" was in rare form tonight. Kip's and Morris' entie family who were in the crowd, should have been very proud. My brother who has since (my childhood) lost interest in Prince and his music exclaimed that he could die proud after seeing that little guy blow the roof off of Alltel tonight! Nothing I can say would explain in good enough detail what I saw tonight, but just let me say, "If you werent there, you shoulda been". Incredible!
