What has been the most surreal moment of your career so far?

A lot of them happen at Clive [Davis'] Grammy parties. Like, I met Stevie Wonder, and he got onstage and asked me what song should he sing. I know every song in his catalog, and I forgot every one. I ended up saying "As," but I was so mad afterwards because I would have asked him to sing "They Won't Go When I Go" -- that's on Fulfillingness' First Finale. Another was jamming with Prince at Paisley Park. He invited me down there to do a show, and he gave me this whole tour of his pianos. He had one piano that has the whole "How Come You Don't Call Me" lyric engraved on it.

What is the ultimate R&B song, and why?

Heatwave, "Always and Forever."

That's what Eve said.

No! That's what she said? And the other is Prince's "Adore." I wish I wrote that song. It's the arrangement, the feeling behind it, the way it grows all the way to the end, those crazy sounds he used at the end. It just takes you on a journey.

No surprise here. When she rocked her Prince shirt at the BET awards I knew she was down for Prince. Glad to see fellow musicians respect Prince as much as they do. And besides they have alot in common. In my opinion only. They would have made a great couple!!

Man, I would looove to see all of Prince's pianos, being the piano enthusiast that I am. I wonder how many of them he has, besides the black baby grand with the symbol on it, and the purple one that says "beautiful" on the side of it. My inquiring mind would love to know. biggrin
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I AGREE!!! Adore, is musically and LYRICALLY, the most beautiful and heartfelt ballad that has been written in our time. You can put that song on and paint a picture for someone special on EXACTLY how you can dig them. When 2 R in love, has the same vibe lyrically, but ADORE's arrangement is mind-blowing. Funk Daddy cannot be matched in singing ballads, and he has many to choose from...but, I agree with you Alicia!!!
