Pennsylvania show reports

(from bingham@adelphia.net)

Just back from the Wilkes-Barre Concert. Great show!. For the most part, the show was a greatest hits show. A few for the true fans included The Ballad of Dorothy Parker and Scandalous. I wasn't impressed by the opening act...just another overharmonized boy-band.

I must admit that I am a bit bitter about the whole NPGonline membership stuff. Had I received an emale, I'm sure I could have had better seats. The worst was the treatment that I received at the aftershow. I was nearly thrown out of the club by their security just because i was trying to inquire about Premium membership acces to the VIP area. But the worst was how I was treated by members of the Prince camp, who were working the door. Once they saw that my name wasn't on the list, they didn't want to know me. I know I paid the fee, I deserved to enjoy the benefits. I don't know why fans are treated this way. The dude from NPG who was working the door wouldn't even give me his name. At least I could have proven that I was there.

This is how my loyalty to the man is repaid???. How many others are out there who have paid their membership fees and have been kicked to the curb??? I am going to seek legal advice on this one.

While I'll be happy to rescind this tirade if NPGonline will make this right, I'll be damned if I'm going to let this sodomy continue. This is not about being a fan of Prince, but BAD business, not to mention fan relations.

we have paid Prince...WHEN WILL WE GET PAID!!! i guess not tonight...

Second report Wilkes-Barre PA

From Doanda

Good show last night in Wilkes-Barre, notice I say Good not Great. Show seemed a little short and felt more like a jam session, which isn't always bad. Would have liked to hear more full length older songs, (diamonds pearls, LR Corvette, etc). After party from what I hear was pretty much a bust. I actually got out of line when i was at the door, I now it is for charity but come on $15.00 a head for standing around. No thanks. There just didn't seem to be that much energy on stage, maybe becouse Prince has been jamming every night in a different city or maybe becouse it wasn't a sold out show who knows. Oh well better luck next time.

NPG news section is updated with the reports from Wilkes-Barre show. It's on NPGONLINE of course and it's still not objective!
