Hi Prince fans:
This is a greatest hits tour featuring some of Prince's favorite classic tunes. It is exactly what it is. Prince just finished a full 2002 One Nite Alone tour that featured so many amazing songs that were performed for the members of the NPGMC. Those songs for that tour were for the hard core fans featuring a few hits for those that went to the show just to see Prince becasue he was in your town at that point. When I went to see Prince here in New York City back in April of 2002 for the ONA Tour I was in my absolute glory as so many rare gems were performed as well as a major dose of the Rainbow Children album. To me that was a tour for the fans PERIOD! This time out Prince is returning with a 25 song hitlist that is sure to please everyone on any level. I do remember the last tour was full of astounding reviews as well but that tour clearly was not for the average Prince listener looking for a dose of Purple Rain even though he did perform it from time to time on that tour. It was full of surprises that satisfied any and every NPGMC Member! Let us support Prince in whatever he does as it has all been good!! He clearly stated that this will be the final greatest hits tour as he has a ton of newer material that he wants to perform from now on. Let us just enjoy this one as it may be the very last time we ever get to hear "Let's Go Crazy," Live again. Peace: Nicky Tuzio e-mail: tuztones@peoplepc.com

Why do so many of you just sit back and HATE!!! The man does a show, plays funky music and you still complain. YOU (yes you the complainer), you bitched when he did all Rainbow Children music, YOU...claim that RAVE sucked, YOU, claim that the member music hasnt been up to par of the old stuff. WHAT the fuck do you want??? YOU, are just a bitch-ass whiner, that will never be happy with anything!!! Appreciate, DONT hate...just enjoy the beauty of the music and lyrics. Isnt he the best live performer of our generation??? Shit, have him play 3 blind mice and I'll be there...COME on back to L.A. and rock the house, FUNK DADDY!!! We are waiting with open arms.
Peace, NPGman P.S. Fuck all you NPG haters, with your one-glove and rhinestones!!! "If you wanna feel the FUNK....then you have to know the SOUL!!!"-----(Up and Down...just like a seesaw, Back and Forth...oh girl I'm fallin)

Let's Go Crazy
I Would Die 4 U When Doves Cry Baby I'm A Star Shhh Dmsr I Feel 4 U Controversy The Beautiful Ones Nothing Compares 2 U Insatiable Sign O' The Times The ? Of U The One Let's Work U Got The Look Hot Pants/Life O' The Party Soul Man Kiss Take Me With U Everlasting Now 7 Elephants And Flowers Mountains Encore: Purple Rain[/quote] to me this is a great hits setlist, but if i was there i would be thinking "4 PR songs to start?!" fucking gutted elephants and mountains werent played, as they are two ace songs! hot pants is a james brown song. plus, not having the 1999 album, is dsmr a rude song, ie conflict with his JW faith, i mention cos people keep mentioning songs i would have thought do conflict! personally i cant understand how anyone can bitch at this set, primarily cos if you complain about lack of rarities, you probably saw some at ONA live, at a FESTIVAL you are playing to casual fans, and this represented that. bare in mind here, that if prince played anything rare, it would have been NEWS, and how would that have gone down?? if i were him, yeah i might have snuck on she loves me 4 me or 1+1+1=3 or something. but it hink its good as it is. how long is the show then? plus, LMAO at the guywho called someone a bellend. legend! please tell me youre british!!

stillwaiting said: lmas said "Take Me With U" was certainly a hit it was in the Top 10 in 1985. WTF
Where? In Japan? In the US, it was the 5th single from Purple Rain, playing out the string, and hit like # 28 and stalled. I NEVER heard it on local radio...and only heard it once at 3am on a trip to Miami. I promise I'm not turning into Bart Van Halen, but some of you have some poor memories. Then again, this site still has a large group of people who think it's "Anna Stasia" instead of "Anna Stesia" Or think it's Prince Roger instead of Prince Rogers...but who the hell really cares? I just want Prince to bring the tour to Florida, AND JUST SAY NO TO MEDLEYS...if songs are like his children, don't CUT THEIR ARMS AND LEGS OFF!!! MY BAD IT WAS "POP LIFE " I WAS THINKING OF. Still "Take Me With U" is still one of his most popular songs, if not just for the movie and the LP being played to death in the middle 80's.

For those who think he is selling out I think that's a tad harsh...
In a sense yes BUT HELLO! Let's Work, DMSR, The Beautiful Ones, Mountains is hardly selling out! I mean SELLING OUT would be Crean, Diamonds & Pearls, Peach and all that crap... I agree with another comment all he needs to do is Erotic CIty & Computer Blue!!! I WOULD DIE AND GO TO HEAVEN*** but my other personal favs as well being Anotherloverholeinyohead, 17 Days, Love or Money, Private Joy, Annee Christaian , Sexuality, Pop Life, Sign O The Times, I Wish You Heaven, Dirty Mind, Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad, Little Red Corvette, All Thye Critics Love You In New York and Something In The Water (Does Not Compute)

I would! Come back to us Princey! What a set list. OFFICIALLY JEALOUS NO! He's coming to Canada and the US first if I have anything to do with it. Trouble is... I don't. But Prince... you've got a house in Toronto. Come on, man -- I've only seen you live once. Yeah, I would love to him do that setlist. There is nothing wrong with that. I can't see him doing DMSR considering his JW beliefs.

poetbear68 said: So this is the tour where he retires his hits? Gosh, what'll he do after this? Probably more touring, but with the music we haven't yet heard.
- well, he did several wonderful concerts in 94/95 without the hits...so it´s not surprise...

Now ya'll know good and damn well there ain't no way on God's green earth he could ever! ever! ever! play a setlist that would please everyone. My favorite songs aren't on this list but he didn't ask me. I wouldn't be a real Prince fan if I didn't dig at least 75% of whatever the list was. Hell, he could sing Dr. Suess or even the phone book and I'd be happy. When it comes to funk, i am junkie

As a younger fan (16 years old) this setlist appeals to me in a big way, I have never had the chance to catch these songs live, and I am about to in...2 and a half hours! I am very excited. Prince is gonna rock me into convoltions.
