Prince makes the sun shine



Prince has once again bypassed the major record companies for the release of his new single. U Make My Sun Shine which also features Angie Stone, is to be released on a small, independent hip hop label called Wingspan Records who are based in Virginia. The single is released in the US this week but there are no details as yet of a UK release.



Last week Prince released a new track, The Work Pt 1, for free on Napster via a link from the controversial song swap service to his
www.npgmusicclub.com subscription service. Prince is due to release a new album The Rainbow Children later this year. The star is currently in the middle of his US HIt and Run tour. This weekend he plays the Atlanta Civic Centre in Georgia.
