After working with Madonna for a week, Michael Bland was let go from rehearsal for her upcoming tour, (rumored to be called The Drowned World Tour). It seems this concert tour is to be only of material from her last two albums, Ray of Light and Music. As most people know, these albums were made up of programmed tracks and well, Michael ain't no machine! She recognized right away that Michael was a definite plus to the tour, however, she just didn't have that much for him to do. She basically told him he was like Babe Ruth playing in the Little Leagues. Hell of a compliment, however, a big let down to Michael's fans. Cheer up folks! This hiatus for Michael only means he'll have more time to focus on the Sons of Almighty Tour (www.sonsofalmighty.com ) that is being scheduled for the fall. I'll be sure to keep you updated on that one!
