On MTV's Contests Uncensored, In the final minutes, they show the Prince Contest from 1986 to have "Under the Cherry Moon" World Premired from your town. At first showing just a bunch of clips from different videos and a small clip of the contest promo piece. They show Prince exiting the plane and being asked what he thinks of Wyoming. He described it as "Purple" and they then showed him throwing the jacket he was wearing into the crowd. They talked about Prince wanting to perform by the mountains but they could not do it so he performed in this rather small concert hall.



The uncensored part was that Prince did not want to take the winner of the contest to the premire and MTV basically threatned him and his manager and said if he does not do it, they will go to the press and make him look bad. He of coarse did take her and said, " I am very glad I came here, I have never much such wonderful/beautiful people." This is the most MTV has aired about this contest since it took place in 1986. J7
