I do not mean to be negative, i love TRC and Prince's recent output, but that "Musicology" song is so weak, its production sounds so out-dated that I feel very sad that he is probably going to release this as a commercial single.

He may have remixed it since I heard it, and I only heard it once, so let's hope. But i'm worried!

I haven't heard Musicology yet so I'm dying to see this video. Is the song really that bad? I've only heard good reviews so far.

(once again from one listen only): it's not bad, just like NewPowerSoul was not bad. But it completely lacks originality...

I also honestly can say Im not the least bit excited about a new song from Prince.. I cant believe im actually sayin that.. but its true. Between all this new music comin out.. it sounds the least bit interesting..

Does it use the samples currently in the Musicology room?
If so it sounds good.
Any return to the mainstream popularity is a good thing so this prospect is exciting, although i think this letter could be a hoax.

Could be a promising 2004 (commercially speaking) if Prince's marketing team manages to push the video to VH1/BET along with buzz of a Revolution reunion at Sheila's benefit while doing the same during the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony later on.
