Maceo Funked Up Buenos Aires



Maceo Parker performed three nights in a row (03/31 - 04/01 - 04/02) in a small joint called La Trastienda. The show lasted 'bout 2 hours. He included some old classics in his repertoir such as Pass The Peas and Got To Get U as wells as some grooves from his new album ( Rabbits In The Pea Patch, My Baby Loves You ).



He also covered live Baby Knows and The Greatest Romance Ever Sold after thanking Prince for those songs.



You should definetively check him and his ultra-funky band if they hit your town! Greg Boyer ( trombone ), Ron Toolly ( trumpet ) and Jamal Thomas ( drums ) are really tight!. He also has a keyboard player, soulady Martha High and the former James Brown rhythm guitar that is hilarious. They are the bomb.
