Minnesota History Center exhibition salutes Prince

Most visitors are aware of Minnesota's cold weather, but few know much more about the Gopher state. Study up at the Minnesota History Center. The spacious museum is loaded with artifacts and hands-on exhibits that tell the colorful story of the state's people, customs and history. Now featured is "Sounds Good to Me: Music in Minnesota," a salute to famous events and people in Minnesota music, including Prince and Bob Dylan. Aspiring singers can belt out their own rendition of "Funkytown," Minnesota singer Cynthia Johnson's snappy dance tune. Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. By car, take Interstate Hwy. 94 to W. Kellogg Blvd. in St. Paul. Free. 651-296-6126.
