PAISLEY PARTY REPORT-----



Wow its feels good writing reports again..=)...well it was a night worth waiting 4, it was ON @ paisley 2nite! after talking and convincing and buyin em rounds my friends finally joined up and went 2 paisley. we got there around 1:30-1:45am and where greated to a small line waiting outside, the line wasnt bad...there were some fine lookin suga n the line 2 keep the time passing!



so we got n and paid $7.77 but 4 .23 cents more u had a option 2 take a npgmusic hat or shirt, eye took the hat! its pretty pimp lookin!...



anyway eye get in and notice some changes n the place, first there is npgmusicclub logos on each side of the walls in the lobby...then n the L4OA room, there is carpet? CARPET!!!! WOW, no more dancing on hard concrete, which is a plus! it looks much better also...



so after hearing the dj spin 4 some 10 minutes the "fonky baldheads" take the stage! eye was excited! and then....D'OH! eye see everyones favorite paisley emcee D.V.S...DAMMIT! eye thought Prince dropped him, guess not, o'well eye gave him a chance 2 see what he had 2 offer...and it wasnt much...=( now eye hate 2 trash the man, hes seems cool, but YO! how u gonna change styles? first he was all eminem hip-hop,b-boy now with this band he was tryin 2 b like fred durst (limp bizkit)...instead of rappin n2 the mike he was yelling and whining n2 the mike and tryin 2 do some durst,korn,rage thing which was NOT working...but otherwise the band was kickass! Kip was also n the band and him n D.V.S didnt not mesh well @ all...while D.V.S was jumping around yellin, Kip had his soul ,smooth voice singing and it just didnt mix, Kip even seemed bored sometimes durin the short set with D.V.S....



but anyway "fonky baldheads" where funky as hell once D.V.S left the stage they did a cover of Prince's "need another lover" with Kip on vocals, he even yelled @ the crowd 4 not knowing the words when he flashed the mic n the crowd...the baldheads set had about 4 or 5 songs and left the stage...personally eye kinda liked em,and hope 2 see them again, the guitar work in the group was really awesome! and like this guy said behind me "the band rocked until the singer opened his mouth" so after the crowd wanted more, KJ came up on stage and tried 2 play again but the mics where not on...D'OH! it was a classic paisley moment....



after the mishap Prince joined them on stage along with larry garaham and JB...they all just jammed which was a sight 4 sore eyes 2 see this again, its been awhile, ahhhhh where so spoiled here in Minneapolis! so after jammin 4 some 10 minutes prince broke n2 a sly n family stone cut..."if u want me 2 stay" eye think is the name? but it was sick! after that prince n the band just played around on stage jammin, prince would dance from the keyboards to the front of the stage, act like he was conducting the band, then dance back 2 the boards, he would do this many times throughout the performance until he picked up the bass later on, Morris was also gettin freaky singing "ms jackson" on the mic, Prince n him played back n forth tryin 2 out do each other...



oh and looks like prince can also play a KONG, a kong was set up behind the drumset and was bangin on that off n on, man the man has some talent!...



4 the ladies who want 2 know,prince still had his long nappy hair, and was wearing red loose bottoms and a matching red top with white outline, opened up 2 show off his king kong hair chest,and a bling-bling chain dancing around his neck...



they jammed 4 eye say bout 45 minutes or so then prince grabbed the mic and told everyone 2 join him n the next room, which was set up with computers with the npgmusicclub logged on 2 a full memebership! he told us that "this is the future of music" so of course everyone followed him n2 the room, and eye sat down @ one of the cpus...and eye noticed prince got rid of the imacs, and turned 2 pcs...who needs icraps! good call prince!...



so after playin wit the site and watchin the videos wishing eye had $100.00 2 get a full memebership my friends were buggin me 2 leave cuz they didnt know the way home...so we stayed longer...=)



they where showing footage from the hit n run tour but also had problems with the video, so the dj took over and started spinnin music....buy the time eye left it was around 4:30am and DAMN eye got 2 work @ 8:00am!!!...so we took off, and noticed that the lights on the paisley building where orange and not purple and the building next door was gettin bigger, wonder if that is his symbol house?...



anyway eye am tired and need 2 go 2 bed, so sorry if this report is weird or spelled wrong or all over the place cuz right now eye am half awake and all funked out! CANT WAIT 4 THE NEXT ONE!...woo-woo!
