SPIN Magazine mentions Prince A SPIN magazine interview with the members of Outkast has been published online. During the interview, Outkast's Dre was asked:
Do you think hip-hop is stagnant right now because of that (no human feel in the music)? Part of Dre's reply: "Rapping is about youth. It's about the time, what's going on. Shit, KRS-One's dope, but a lot of people don't wanna hear what he's got to say now. The times are changing. My mom's hero is not my hero. Stevie Wonder is probably the hero of her generation; I think Prince is the greatest. You can't be on top forever. So my goal is to learn how to be a good songwriter."
