Checked out the Morris Day and The Time show at the Foxwoods casino in CT
last night and I need to report on the incredible event.
First of all, mad props to my crew: Joe Kelley,a funky brotha who is
extremely instrumental in supporting and promoting the Minneapolis music
(especially The Time) scene (and others) on his WVOF radio show and internet
shows, Joe's lady Gi Money, who's representing from Canada, and of course my
brother and all time ace, Face(Down)Man, an old school playa who has been
representing since back in the day.



THE SHOW: Morris and his funky brothas were in top form as usual, keeping it
real with old school funk n roll, unmatched by any others out there. The
joint was alive as the band hit us up with Oak Tree, Jerk Out, Cool, Jungle
Love and all the hits. These brothas were slamming, because they are
MUSICIANS first anf foremost. They take their craft seriously and are
dedicated to music.

These brothas are down to earth, really cool guys who genuinely appreciate
the love and support. Shout outs need to go to: Tori Ruffin, the pimp daddy
on guitar. Again, his solos were blazing (especially during 777-9311) and
he's just the coolest cat to talk to. Big ups to Tori (and you ALL need to
take a sip of Tori's other band, FREAKJUICE. It's incredible). Morris is the
ultimate old school playa, full of fun and cool. He signed my "Color of
Success" program and was too gracious with us all. Monte Moir is one smooth
cat, always there with a hookup and appreciating the love. Many thanks.
Jellybean, always on point, keeping the beat bottom heavy and funky, one of
the best sticksmen out there. Freeze and Chance and Jerome kept the fun and
funk alive. Mad love ya'll.
All in all an incredible event. If you're a supporter or old school playa
(like myself) you need to show the love and support any chance you can. And
you know I always will.
