I attended Maceo Parker's concert yesterday, 27th March 1999, at the Z7 in Pratteln near Basel, Switzerland. In the middle of the 3.5h-show Maceo went off-stage for a short pause, but the band kept on grooving and background vocalist "El Duce" took over lead vocals for a short rendition of "1999", amongst other numbers. No verses, but the chorus a few times. Maceo is touring Europe in support of the "Funkoverload" album right now.



Let's just hope that THE ARTI$T doesn't hear about this, because he might sue them!
