of ALLL the things you could permanently BRAND on your body, and you pick (and are still happy with) a symbol cooked up to get out of a contract? TOOLS. All of you. Now don't get on me about my Right Said Fred tatt - that's totally different - I had a GOOD REASON for that shit ... see it all started one night in a bar... I got mine for very good reason. Don't need you to tell me wheter it was a good idea or not. I've had it for 8 years and I still love it just as much today as I did 8 years ago. Why is it seems like whatever you do or say here someone is ready to jump right up and tell you how WRONG it was because THEY don't think it was a good idea...LOL some people are amazing. Damn you think it's okay to breath my own air or should you come over here so I can breath yours because yours is better? My air is better. I'm just amazed at the sheep up in here. I'm sure 90% of the tatts out there just disappoint me, because I have none, and feel like, when I DO get a tattoo, it's going to mean something serious, cuz it'll be with me forever, and then I see some monkeytard that's got Kid Rock tattooed on his forearm. Not the words, but his damn FACE, and I wonder, what will you say when you're 56 about the impact of "Bawitabamthabanddabangdittyditty" or whatever it's called... what will you say about that artist in 35 years? Don't get me wrong. I love prince too. Love the music, he changed my life, blah blah, but I don't go buying the Cloud guitar, painting my house purple or getting symbol tattoos to prove how much he's the Man. So, let me rephrase my rant: you tattoo people are crazier'n'shit. There. So, now I'm not criticizing your choice of tattoo. I once dated a girl that had the little angels painting tattooed right above her, uhh, "heaven". Now, this was done in 1989, LONG before that painting started showing up on everything from fridge magnets to toilet seats. BUT, when it DID start showing up on everything, she regretted the tatt entirely. So. there you go. Permanent ink on me? Nehi Pleez. You gotta be kidding. On the tattoos, Prince wouldn't like them...He chastised a girl at a Detroit soundcheck regarding her tattoo. He said she shouldn't mark up her body, and gave her scripture to support it (Leviticus 19:28).

I didn't get my tattoos because everybody else was doing it; I got them because they are my self-expression. I have two butterflies; one on my lower back and the other below my collar bone. The one on my back has the letters of my name in Chinese characters around it; representing, for me, that butterflies are not only beautiful; but free-spirited creatures. I love Chinese art and their writing system; and, my name defines my personality exactly "Claire". The one on my chest has the words "Free Spirit" in chinese on either side of the butterfly; which is also who I am. The star on my right shoulder represents my middle name "Estelle" which means "star" in Spanish (Estrella). I like Prince; but, I always liked the symbol's design and the different meanings that has been given to it. Some say it means a "publicity stunt" lol, I feel it means a "rebirth". It's meaning to me is similar to the meaning of the Phoenix. The death of an old image to later be re-born with a new one and a different purpose. I don't down people for getting their faces and bodies all pierced up; so, I don't judge those who don't have tattoos either. "Different Strokes for Different Folks." i put a symbol sticker on my ass about 6 years ago and haven't been able to take it off because the glue formed an adhesive bond that will not release. does that make me a follower, a leader, or just plain weird and stupid?
a follower??? what the hell does that mean?? when you say you 'follow' someone, that usually means are in worship of them. do you think Prince is a god? come, now... also, for those of you who want to know, DIYTV is doing a combo program on removing tattoos and getting a life.
