Maceo Parker is performing two Prince covers in his live act. I saw his show at the Fillmore in San Francisco on 2/16 (which was amazing) and he covered "Baby Knows" and "TGRES", which I believe are on his album "DIAL MACEO" as well. The band threw in Sly's "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)" during "Baby Knows", which was great. Maceo's flute work on "TGRES" makes you wonder why he wasn't involved in Prince's version (or at least a remix). He also acknowledeged Prince several times before and after the two songs. His screams of "Give it up for Prince!" were met with great reaction from the crowd. The show itself was outstanding. The man is truly a great performer.
