UK TV program mentions Prince

On UK TV, Channel 4, Saturday 17th Feb, 9:15pm

Top Ten 80's Soul.

This is a program in the continuing series of Top Ten musical styles/periods, and Prince is featured in this weeks program, along with artists such as Chaka Khan, Alexander O'Neal, Shalamar, and Imagination (cringe-worthy UK late disco act).

Looking at past episodes it should be good viewing so record it if you're going out. They usually have associates and journalists discussing the songs/artists in the list which is usually insightful and/or entertaining.

On a related note, at the same time on BBC2 there is the "1984" episode of the series I Love The Eighties which may or may not have Prince featued also. (I think in the UK he is often credited as exploding onto the scene in 1985, so look out for theat next week also.

One last point, after the BBC2 1984 program, the Breakfast Club is showing (all time fav. movie of my btw) and ofcourse Alley Sheedy who plays Alison is seen looking at a copy of, The 1999 LP, or one of it's 12" singles!
