Becoming more aggresive doesn't mean that the traditionally conservative WIZF isn't still selective. At a recent Prince concert in the city, Smith joined other programmers backstage at a meeting with the artist. "Prince feels radio isn't supporting local artist enough. He zeroed in on me, because I made the comment that I'll play a record if it's a jam. He asked sarcastically, `Is Anita Baker a jam? Is Erykah Badu a jam?' And I said, `Yes. They're slow jams.'"
