Second report on the Time in NYC Saturday's show was just off the hook! The Time was in rare form! I glad
we went to the earlier show cause the line for the next show was down the block! I still prefer shows in venues like Tramps, but BB Kings was cool [NPNY Historical fact: our first meeting was at a Time show at Tramps February 10th,1986]. NPNY was in full representation at show. Our table consisted of 15 people, 3 people were missing, but they were easily replaced by 3 more funky friends It's been way to long! We all will be doing it again really, really soon! I promise! I was kind of annoyed with BB Kings for putting us off to the far left side. Considering we made our reservations way in advanced they really should of hooked us up. So BB King's get the big rude one-handed gesture for that one! Also, their food prices were ridiculous!! 14 dollars for a Chicken Caesar Salad that wasn't even that big! BOY YOU NEED TO BE SLAPPED! Anyway on to the show! The boys hit us off with all there greatest hits. Jerk Out, Fishnet, Oak tree, Gigolos get lonely too, Jungle love, and Encoring with The Bird. Morris and Jerome as always giving us their own special brand of mirth and mayhem. I have to tell you boy can that kid Tori whale on that guitar. The Time really made a good choice when they choose Tori as Jessie's replacement. BTW! Tori album that Morris kept mentioning is called Juicemaker and the band is called Freakjuice. You can pick up the album and also here a few samples at http://www.lama.com/freakjuice/ . Afterwards a handful of us went over Fez on Broadway and 85th check out a club called FEZ. Well had a kick @ss good time there! Big shout to Josh for hookin' us up with the Funky noize all night long. We didn't leave the joint 4am. Everyone was singing and dance and just having a good old time. I was truly burnt out the next day! Fez will for now on be the official NPNY monthly nightspot! More details on that later. | |
