According to today's (Fri 29th Aug) UK tabloid "The Daily Star", Prince is bombarding Mariah Carey with bouquets and has been to several of her tour shows. A source close to Mariah says "He's got a soft spot for Mariah. He's asked about coming to see her when she performs in the UK in October. He seems smitten with her".

Also rumor, but a friend thought he spotted Prince's camp during her show last week at Universal Amphitheatre here in L.A., minutes before he jammed at BB King's a block away... A kick-ass collaboration is WAY past due... Mariah is an underated soul singer, and its too bad that the press/public seem to be more interested in her romantic life and wardrobe choices.

There was something written about how Prince kept calling Mariah trying to get her to come to PP, but this was a long time ago.

Ewww, I so hate Mariah Scary. Her voice is great, but her songs are commercial pablum. Where is the soul? I mean, she has to do an old Jackson Five song just to get soul. You know why Prince likes her. He wants to tap that fine, big ass.

I enjoyed the bits of Glitter that I heard. I only saw a few minutes of Glitter and it seemed like a fun movie. She says in her Maxim interview that a lot of cards were up against her around the time they released that album and movie, it was around September 11th so things were really odd and sad in those days.

Sounds a bit iffy to me, there were all these tabloid reports last year that he was moving to the UK but that all seemed a lie, plus they claimed he was infatuated with Cary Grant's niece and they took a picture of a lookalike instead.

I suppose the long and the short of it is that what ever they both do, is their business. There is a part of me that hopes that this isn't true, just because of the romantic element between Prince and his wife, Mani.
