Prince mentioned on new Hiram Bullock cd," Try Livin it!" Hi everyone:
Rock/Funk/R&B soul guitarist Mr. Hiram Bullock just released a brand new cd from ESC Records here in the United States called, "Try Livin It." It is a collection of 11 tunes that features Hiram's own special brand of New York Contemporary Rock/Funk/Jazz. There is one slammin funk groove called, "Can't Fight The Funk," which has a part in the middle of the tune that goes like this..." James Browen and Maceo put the funk into my soul...then Sly Stone, Prince and Tower Of Power they kept that funk from getting old!!" If you like Prince's new form of funk/Jazz then a message to all the NPG Club Members..." U WIll LOVE THIS CD!!" Peace, Nicky Tuzio tuztones@peoplepc.com

A little bit of info for ya, but Hiram Bullock played guitar on Tyka Nelson's Royal Blue CD(I think that is what it was called, her first one).

[/email] Why just a message to club members? It's a little exclusionary to ignore the sane and reasonable people who didn't want to contribute $25 to Prince's cultic little enterprise just so they could pay more to order items that are readily available at Best Buy for less.

Hiram also played on a late night talk show - I think it was Letterman. Sounds like he is aligning himself indirectly with Prince - which would be a smart marketing ploy if it wasnt directed to only the NPGMC members.

I have 2 of his CDs from 94 and 88. the 88 CD was recorded in Minneapolis and had Ricky Peterson co-write and play on many of the tracks.

Hiram was also the guitar player for "Rufus" which featured Chaka Kahn.
