I deal with Herbie a bit in my work, and he (like Stevie, Bernie Worrell, Prince, and others) is a MAJOR influence on keys 2 many, and musically open minded. I guess it's like, if U don't feel it, try 2 or just leave it alone. Prince's musical expressions have not stopped and aren't about 2, so keep listening...

Has anyone apart from me ever thought about how prince always physically changes. i remember through th 80's that not only every album was different and the image but the whole physicality of the man. Each albu his face and body would look completely different-it was like getting a new pop star with every album-i even think this dampened his success-both musically and visually people never had long enough to have one star to look at or listen to, Every time it was like a baptism of fire and by the time the masses were on the verge of reaccepting him he had moved on again. Here he reminds me of the cover of the Kiss 12' single-the black and white one where he is sucking in his cheeks. A long lean face-where black features are almost erradicated by pose. Here though it looks like he has lost weight which i think ages people. of course he is wearing makeup-but these days it is like television makeup-which if anything is more vain. I think he looks cool-and by next year will look like somebody else again | |

That is so funny, cuz I was just thinking 2 myself earlier this morning that I've never seen him play with a strat b4. I then made mental notes of the guitars I have seen him play just 2 be sure, and sure enuff he hadn't picked up one in concert (that i've seen from boot videos and concerts). NOW look... He played a red strat at the 3 Divas Concert in New York back in 1996... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O
