Montrealers can buy the cd august 12th. I called hmv earlier today and thats what they told me...I do hope it will b here next week, as announced on the hmv website.

I have been sweating on this for ages and now they're telling me that I can't get a copy until the 4th August... and knowing our luck here in Sydney HMV won't have it in store on that date anyway! And then I will have to wait EVEN longer

The CD won't be released in stores until all the members who ordered their copy have recieved it.

I just got my e-mail that my order is on the way, and it said "please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery"

Well do not worry. I have received my copy already. It is a nice album with some intressting parts. But you will listen to it for a few days and than you will put it back into the shelve. It is a good and inpiring album but it is far not excellent!

Its not about receipt of the CD but about Music Today shipping. NPGMC have been very careful with the wording of this !

I got my news too. In view of the fact of the cost involved i think i can wait next time until the CD/DVD is on general release. Lets hope future recordings are better then this. BGM is what i call it. that sounds for Back ground music. what new direction is there, have i missed it. Disappointing sadly.

I received my N.E.W.S. today in Estonia (EUROPE) and I´m confident that it´ll never be released here, beacuse no-one knows about it. So the release date concerns only us, canada and maybe uk.

But it´s GOOD!! Still I hardly believe that it would put Prince on world´s jazz-map.

Is News have a sound similar to Rainbow?? I am just getting into the Jazz sound myself and enjoyed Rainbow. Would a person who does not have a Jazz ear enjoy it??

I got my N.E.W.S. disc on Monday 21st (in Norway), and I think it's great! It's not very similar to TRC, though - and you don't have to enjoy hardcore jazz to enjoy this album. A small piece in one of the songs even reminds me of Purple Rain!

be nice if he were to experiment with his sound, a bit more... I dig the soulful jazz riffs & rythyms, but I also enjoyed the electro-pop, urban-syhtn sounds, that were up in your face... most of his stuff today is mixed with his vocals too far behind the music on some tracks...

anyhow, I look forward to listening to this release... also, if your reading this Prince, let it loose, hit em' with some of that good stuff, fo' early in the morning...
