Thor: - Whoa....I am almost speechless. At first read, I assumed that when the poster wrote "people of color," that they were refering to "3yr old leaders of all colors" etc. Then I re-read the title! An outrage! Who ever posted that link, whether it be Prince himself, or one of the web site admins, they'd better make a fucking apology RIGHT NOW. To say that only people of color are welcome at a concert but Blond haired, blue-eyed caucasians are not is just flat out WRONG. Prince did say once before that people of color understand him more, and that we had the privilage of still calling him Prince when he was demanding the use of , so this may be a direct note from him. Honestly, I think it's one of the site admins that is mis-interpreting Prince's statements and taking them the wrong idea to heart. Yeah, I know...I'm always quick to defend Prince and blame others first, but this goes against so many other things that he says and performs. I have a hard time thinking he would post this.



I don't know...maybe a thor(AT)racist.gov emailed something in...*shrug*

Thor is not a reference to white folk persay. Thor Christensen is the writer for the Dallas Morning news that pretty much shat on Najee's playing.

HOWEVER!!! The posts on NPGLTD are CONSTANTLY refering to sub-concious "hidden" sub-text in other people works. If I (who will defend Prince almost to the point of ass-kisser) could mistake that post as bigotry, then I'm sure the thousands, tens of thousands, whatever, of people who only read that site may get the same feeling I got.



Lesson learned: say what you mean directly, and provide links.
