First report on Houston gig

I went to the Houston show last nite and I had mixed feelings. My gripe is not with Prince. I thought the show was great. My problem is with the organization of the show. I paid 70 bucks apiece for 2 tickets and had to sit behind speakers, giving me a very limited view of the stage. People who had cheaper seats behind the stage ultimately had better views of the stage. This is absolutely unacceptable. I don't know if it is the promoters fault or Prince's people and their organization of the stage, but someone needs to get their shit together. I also had a problem with the sound, which was very muddy and it was hard to hear what Prince said when he talked. If this is because of the acoustics in the arena, then the management needs to pick better venues. The bottom line is: Prince was great (what I could see anyway), I loved the setlist, partial songs and all, but overall I had a negative experience because of the factors they were probably out of Prince's control. That is still no excuse for the lame-ass conditions. I have no problem spending 70 bucks, but I deserve to get a decent product. I did not last nite.
