Sixth St. Louis report

Let's just start off by saying this is my 30th Prince concert I've been too since 1984. But this report will be somewhat different than anyone elses. From the first moment my son (5 years old) started loving Prince's music I have dreamed of taking him to a concert. Well last night was the night. With my 5 year old son in tow, we made our way into the Savvis Center at 7:00 p.m. The line for the "Will Call Window" went very fast and we were inside by 7:15 p.m. The only bad part was waiting until 9:00 p.m. for Prince to start. About every ten minutes my son would say "When is he going to start Dad i'm too excited to waite". Well at
9:00 p.m. the lights went down and the look on my son's face was worth a Million Dollars or maybe even more. The smile never left his face. We were sitting in the 6th row on the floor, so the sight was great. During the second song, Prince made his way over to our side and I was holding my son up high and he started waiving at Prince. I thought that would for sure go unoticed, but i'll be damn it worked. Prince looked at my son and gave him a little wave back and threw him his guitar pick. At first we did not get it, but the people sitting in front of us knew it was for him and turned around and gave it to my son. (thank you.)

Back to the concert: As I said before this was my 30th show, including last years Dec. 18th show at Paisley, (filming for Rave Video) and this was one of the best I have seen him play. I have read so many reports by people here that are bad about this at that, but all I can say is "Not every show is the same, everyone needs to remember it is not up to us what he plays, how he plays it, what he wears or if it starts on time." If you are a true Fam or Fan, please try to understand it is hard to please everyone. The concert last night had hardly any preaching and only a snippet of NO MEAT NO FUR. Even when he did, it was so damn funny. Prince was in such a good mood, that when a girl that was dancing on the stage smacked his ass, he turned at thumped her on the head. Later that same girl was dancing (and I use that word lightly) was freaking trying to dance and Prince looked over at her and was singing and said "Let's go see what the crack head has to say" He went over to her and held the mike in front of her face and she started singing something that was way out wack and not even the right song. Prince was laughing so hard he could hardly sing the right words himself!!!

Well I will end this report by saying that my son had the time of his life and hasn't stopped telling everyone he has seen about last night and one more quote from my son when Prince came out for the first time.
"OH MY GOD DAD, THAT IS THE REAL LIFE PRINCE" To everyone in St. Louis, thank you for such a great party, Prince is surely to come back to see us now! RAVE UN 2 PRINCE!!!!!
