I'm sure what he's doing is taking advanced orders to measure demand. Allow everyone to start placing orders...and then magically be back-ordered from day one?? Did anyone get a copy yet? I'm sure nothing was manufactured when he began taking orders. He minimizes his risk this way...and doesn't end up stuck with a bunch of CDs he can't sell. While it makes customers angry, it's a smart business move for him.

The odd part is, if he was upfront and honest about it, the customers wouldn't be that upset if they knew from the beginning that they could order on X date and plan to receiev it on Y date. By not saying anything, we all assume that it will ship the day after we place an order...and then get upset that we have to wait longer.

Just a thought...

I think the date was pushed back because not all of the members have got their CDs yet.

And he promised that first.

I'm not a member, but no biggie. I'm willing to wait another week, or two, or three. I have tons of music to keep me busy until then

I received my news CD 7 days after the release date. Of course I had 2 pay for 2nd day air.I didn't want to get cought up in the waiting game so with alittle luck I got mine in 7 days.It does stink that you can download the CD,At least make me feel special for alittle while.I would have bought the CD anyway, but it still stinks.

I work at an independent record store, and our street date is 7.29, just to reaffirm what everyone else is saying.
For some reason I'm not that excited about it...probably because it's instrumental only and I'm not such a fan of instrumentals. They just don't hold my attention.

I was on holiday when the first order/delivery went out. NPGMC email today that NEWS despatched...so second lot sent out. so may be in the shops soon...
