Maceo Parker performs in the Netherlands (2000/11/25)



I went to a Maceo Parker gig at nighttown, Rotterdam.
Very nice performance (3 hours!!)
I don't remember all songs but included were:
Pass the peas, Think (the Lynn Collins tune), got to get ya
Shake everything you got, georgia on my mind, My Baby Loves You, Mustang Sally, Dial MACEO, i've got work to do, some JB medley and (i regret to say) TGRTEBS + Baby knows.
Weaks songs as those two are, it was a bad 10 minutes in a show that was total funk (i wish he would play pretty man).



Maceo's son (Corey Parker) did backing vocals and some rap, very nice change in the mostly instrumental stuff.



This concert got me dancing for the first time in a long while. Funny, they started doing christmas songs in between an extended funk groove.
