Just got back from the Grand Rapids show and it was great! Even for the "special" guest - the one and lonely (I mean, only) Doug E. Fresh. The set list was pretty much what has been played every where else except for the addition of 'Pop Life' and a little bit of 'Push It Up' with Mr. Fresh. He didn't do the cover of 'When Will We Be Paid', but he finished with a very nice Santana medley with help from Habibi (it's only appearance the whole night). Najee didn't even start the show, but he did play a little too often. Geneva is HOT, but I prefer Mayte. What in the hell is John Blackwell doing with those drum sticks? That brotha can play some drums, let me tell ya! Rhonda was fine as usual, but her bass was a little to up in the mix. The show was suppose to start at 8:00pm, but didn't start 'til 9:30pm and finished at 11:45pm. Detroit, you got robbed. The after party was held at the Orbit Room, but I didn't attend (messy snow storm hit while inside).
