Article on Chaka in Hampton, Virginia

Chaka Khan performed last night at the Hampton Jazz Festival in Hampton, VA. Here is an excerpt from an article written in The Daily Press the local paper in Hampton.

"Chaka Khan, who followed the two men (sax player Boney James and guitarist George Benson) got more attention for her skin-tight clothes than her performance.

The dynamic performer, who teamed with The Artist Formerly Known as Prince on her latest recording, didn't connect with the crowd as she has in past appearances. She gave the audience many of her classic songs, such as 'I'm Every Woman,' but the voice wasn't focused.

Khan also slipped up when she said 'Hello Norfolk,' and then apologized when told she was in Hampton. She told the audience that she travels so much she doesn't always remember where she is."

There is also a small photo of Chaka performing. She does have on a tight black dress.
