I,too attended the show..and it was kind of disappointing. I say this
because ...I like Larry Graham...but not all that much....and he was the main
attraction of the show. Yes, the MAN made his appearance known with all of
the jumping around in front, playing at the end, etc., but it wasn't the
same. I am sure anyone who likes Larry Graham would have thought it was
great....but these same songs are getting old...being played each
time...almost in exact order (thank u, free, everyday people, etc.) I guess
the new song and purple rain made up for it.....but still Maybe it was
the massive headache I had that made me less tolerant. The doors opened at
around 1:30, and some strange things happened before this. Usually I am one
of the first to get there and have the opportunity to visit with some of the
other "regulars" We were sitting around talking...when Larry came out and
moved the Man's brand new purple prowler. Then a technician (tamiki??? I
think I am way off with this name) came out and asked one of us to run to the
store to get him some soda. While he was out talking to us, there was a
person, who I will not name because u probably dont know him anyway, that
started whispering with him and he got a big smile on his face. He soon told
some other person that was in our group, but left a few of us out. I knew
exactly that they were talking about the Northrop gig, so I asked a question
about it pretended I heard what he had just said. He replied "Kimiko just
told me that he was just going to be on the Yahoo awards. Duh....i told him
not to insult my intelligence....and that I knew what they were talking
about. He told me flat out that if this guy wanted me to know...he would
have told me. I asked why it is he is whispering to 3 other people about
it...and he didn't seem to answer. I just asked to tell me the days so I
could plan my life around it...and no go. He just laughed and told me that
no one else knows about it except for this technician who after the show was
running around telling girls so he had an excuse to flirt with him, anyways,
and to find it out on the Internet. I just smiled and said back that he
shouldn't feel privileged because if this guy told him (just a punk in his
mid 20s that hasn't seemed to grow up) he probably has told tons of people by
now. So, I believe that 2 shows have been confirmed and it is just a matter
of time till we find out who what when where.
