First report on Paisley performance The show was announced early on friday so as one can assume..there were
hundreds of people in line before 1:00. I got there around 12:15 but with people cutting like mad it still was not a guarantee that I was going to get in.. i made it in..barely..they cut the line off about 30 or 40 people behind me..i estimate that at least a hundred people in line did not get in..and they missed yet another incredible show.. the show started with a GCS2000 set with the artist playing keys in the back..and the GCS horns were there as well as the gcs vocalist kip?? they started with "we've been waiting", and then went through the entire opening set that they played during the jam of the year 98 tour..including "one in a million", "be my lady", "thank you", "free", "everyday people", "the jam" and many others.. after about 45 minutes to an hour of this..the artist came on and played some new stuff...including the new song "rave..unto the joy fantastic" which was excellent..after ripping through about another hour of music the band left and the artist said good night..yah right.. he came back out for an excellent version of purple rain..and they closed the night out with an instrumental that larry wrote while the aritst played his new guitar!! all in all it was a little over two hours of an excellent mix of old and new music...another $7.00 well spent!! | |
