Report on three concerts and DC afterparty

I attended the Richmond, D.C. and Philly shows. I would say that the Philly show was the best, followed by Richmond and then D.C. The shows were virtually identifical. The only differences were 1. In Richmond and Philly, he closed with "come on"; 2. His speech prior to "when we we get paid" was pleasantly different for each show. (I really think that he doesn't plan what he is going to say. It appears that his speeches are done with little preparation. Nonetheless, I am impressed with his oratory skills, but not impressed with some of his logic.); 3. The Philly show had the best sound by far and the Richmond show's sound was terrible, which ruined an almost perfect show; 4. He had Najee play the "lead line" of "come on" instead of the sample from Mr. Hayes in Philly. I think this was an improvement over the RIchmond show, because I hate samples; and 5. Although I'm from D.C., I have to give props to the crowd in Philly, because they were on their feet through the whole show, even through the long Najee solos.

General observations: 1. He wore exact same outfits for each show. I thought his gear was a little on the tacky side. Especially his red outfit where the pants were visibly more faded than the shirt. 2. Although Najee was a little too prevalent in the show, I don't think it is as bad as people say. The "When doves cry/father's song" instrumental is one of the highlights of the show as well as his version of God. 3. I also thought the way Prince intertwined #2 from Madhouse with Dorthy Parker was brilliant. Did anyone else notice other madhouse tracks, because both old and new ones were sprinkled throughout the show.

The D.C. afterparty was a little disappointing other than the fact that he said what's up to me as he walked in the club at about 2:30 A.M. The members of Outkast walked in at about 1:00 A.M. There were two levels to the club and they wouldn't let anyone on the first level, where the Prince entourage was. I was extrememly lucky to literally sneak in with the band. There were only about 30 people in the downstairs club area, but there was a separate room with a door that Prince, Serena Williams, and Outkast. Security was tight for that room and I couldn't get in, so that was all that I can report. He left sometime after 3:30 A.M.

Urgent!! If anyone took pictures, video or audio at the D.C. show, please e-mail me at donnyenglish@hotmail.com, because I was pulled on stage by Geneva and she was dancing dirty with me and I got to sing the last verse of Kiss with Prince. I would kill to get proof that I was on stage with Prince. I was the brother with grey pants and a blue shirt for anyone wondering.
