Second report on Cleveland gig I'm heading to bed, but I figured I'd post a quick recap of the Cleveland show. We're all sitting in our seats waiting for the show to start, and we hear the audience start screaming. We look over and see this guy walking around that looks like Prince. I was close enough to tell it wasn't him, but there were A LOT of people screaming and thinking it was him. It was pretty damn funny. The show opened with Uptown, not the Najee jam which was fine with me. The show featured a bit too much Najee for my tastes. The set list I don't remember exactly, but there were no suprises that I could tell. Except at the end of the show. Doug E Fresh came on stage during the Kiss/Gett Off/Come On medley/jam. And then Mr. George Clinton himself comes out and they're all jammin on the stage. It was damn funky. Sorry the report isn't more detailed, but I have to get to bed. I had to drive 2 1/2 hours home from the concert (to Pittsburgh PA). I hope he comes to Pgh this tour. Overall the band is damn funky and damn tight. The show had much more energy and was more dramatic than the JOTY show I went to. The musicianship was much better as well and he really seemed to be having a good time. | |
