Seventh report of Philly gig

Okay, I coulnt wait 2 get home and post my first concert report so here it goes. Well alot of the general news has already been posted so im going 2 try 2 put a little different approach 2 it. First of all I consider myself the biggest Prince fan ever. Theres not much i dont know about the man. All the albums I have and all the knowledge that any diehard would have , but I always felt incomplete because i never saw him live. The 1 other time I had tickets, i was n college n va and he cancelled a Hampton VA show because of scalping back n 96. S o was thrilled when i found out he was coming 2 Dc. I arrived at the show a few minutes late because of my date.. Fellaz yall know how slow ladies can be. Buy the time we got n the venue "P"was already playing Uptown. I was a little dissapoited i didnt see the beginning but i soon got over it. Most people have already posted about the actual performances so I want 2 focus on some othetr things.

First of all

The atmosphere was unbelievable. i have been 2 many concerts, all rap and RnB, and i have never seen a concert where people danced and were on their feet all nite. At rap shows, people usually dont clap, r bored or just act like they are 2 good 2 get n 2 the show..Cant blame em tho because now I know what a live concert should be like. People all around me were having a great time. It was a real weird experience seeing all these people paying tribute 2 Prince because as we all know, it seems like we Prince fans r a small minority lately. I felt like evreybody there had some sort of connection with 1 another. I began 2 wonder how many of the Prince. org community were n the house, and if i was sitting near somebody whos posts i replied 2. Everysong had the crowd n a frenzie. I did enjoy hearing the old hits, but i must admit I was fiending 4 the material from 94 2 the present. OH how I was fiending 2 here "Dayz of Wild". Itwas dissapointing but "P" feels obligated 2 appease his general fans. But one thing I noticed is that he really seemed happy playing these songs. If he wasnt he sure is a dayaumm good actor,(and we all know that aint true..lol) Also the band was on point.. I immediately scanned the stage 2 see the band. firts person i noticed was the drummer..bald head.. Im thinkin thats Kirky J. Dayum he aint as bad everybody says he is. As a matter of fact, that boy is good. I soon found out it wasnt him of course but that guy is tight. Alot of people have given bad views on Najee...HEY! The man is on point. I enjoyed his playing but he may have been featured a lil 2 heavily n the show, but remember, Najee has been famous long before he hooked up with Prince, so hes not no riding on no bodys coatails, so give him his due. GENEVA!..Dayum she fine!!!!..She looks alot better then Mayte...Wow give me a good 45 mins with her and...well u know..lol...Rhonda is fine 2 and she plays the hell out of that Bass, but i just wished she was a little more active on stage.. she stays n her little corner 2 much. Come out on the stage and move sista.. MR HAYES.. Good 2 see him still n the fold. Ive always enjoyed watching him.. But dayum brotha, make up ya mind with hair.. I AINT FEELING THAT BLEACHED FRO...LOL... People, look around. "P" has created a buz all over the country.. selling out shows.. His popularity is still n full force and i know taht when he drops the new album and the official tour, he s going 2 be back on the charts and and still number 1 at the bank..He seems very happy and at peace with himself and his past. So that means a promising future.. 2001 is going be as intersting 2 watch as 84... Im only 27 but i remeber that year like yesterday...IS THIS THE DAWN HE HAS WANTED US 2 LIVE SO LONG 2 SEE?
