Fourth Richmond concert review

I want to start off by saying that I am not the biggest of
the Prince Fans, but have practically all of his albums
since Purple Rain and I think he is THE BEST and THE COOLEST
musician there is. This is only my 3rd concert EVER and my
1st PRINCE concert.

I picked up my tickets for the Richmond concert around 6pm and hung out in the lobby
(if you left you couldn't get back in 'til they started to
seat people). Around 7:20 they let everyone in the lobby.
About 10 minutes later Prince opened the doors to the
Orchestra seating gave a weird look at the audeince in the
lobby, smiled and then closed the doors. Everyone went
crazy. It was really weird, because I was in the front and
the man that I have only seen on TV and in pictures, was
right there in front of me.

Highlights of the Show:
[pre:0deadbeef0]
Little Red Corvette
Housequake
I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man
The Beautiful Ones
Nothing Compares 2 U
Let's Go Crazy
Take Me With U
Rasberry Beret
Darling Nikki
Purple Rain
She's Always in My Hair
U Got the Look
Kiss

Although alot the songs were medleys, I still loved it. He
let the crowd sing with him and without him. It's really
cool to hear the crowd sing while he listens.

He pulled out the acoustic guitar for "Take Me With U" and
"Rasberry Beret", which I thought was pretty cool, because
I haven't really seen him play an acoustic guitar live
before.

During "Kiss" he had fans come up on stage to dance with him
and even let one of them sing. That girl took it home!!
Prince was so impressed he gave her a hug.

He closed with "Come On" and got the crowd singin' again.
At the end of the performance he threw his hat out in to
the crowd and someone jumped like 4ft and caught it.

The only bad thing was how long and how often the
saxophonist had his solos. I think Geneva made up for it
with her flexability during "Father's Song".

I was on the floor; 11th row; on the far right hand side,
so I had really great seats. This was a excellent "Hits"
concert and I enjoyed it alot and the everyone else seemed
to enjoy it as well. I like the interaction he has with the
audience and I was glad to have experienced it and look
forward to doing it again on Friday at the Patriot Center.
