First report on Richmond, Virginia concert The Richmond show was not to be missed for those of you afraid of the ticket price. His set was almost the same as Worcester as I compare it to Prince.org reports, but he closed with a tight, 10 to 15 minute Come On groove that made the admission costs a bargain. Other notables were Father's Song and a near perfect dose of Purple Rain. Add what amounted to an hour of Najee, and this show could have sold for the Fairfax ticket price of $85 easily. The latter half of the show outshined the former, especially since the sound cleared-up after the first few songs. Rhonda's play was a bit loud when she wasn't on the upright base; by the way, she plays that maybe better than the alembic. On a personal note, this was my sixth show with my wife, and Prince always reminds me what a delight it is to hold hands with her. Thank you, Mr. Nelson. See you on Friday. | |
