Cleveland P-Funk gig moved up to Nov/9

Disappointing news to report for all those funkateers dreaming of the
ultimate funk night, Sunday, Nov 12, in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame
City. According to The Cleveland Agora concert schedule -- (http://www.clevelandagora.com/concertsched.htm) and
Ticketmaster.com, George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic has moved up
their gig to accommodate Prince's Sunday night performance at the
Cleveland State U Convocation Center. ...

According to the Agora Theatre rep who I just called, said because of
the Prince concert Nov. 12, the Pfunk date in Cleveland was
rescheduled because of the two funk pioneers were to have performed on
the same night, just down the street from each other. ...

The new date for the P-funk Cleveland stop is this Thursday, Nov. 9.
Clinton is currently on an annual fall tour with The Mothership,
performing Wednesday, Nov. 8, at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia.
According to an older tour schedule (see link below), Nov. 9 was a
travel day to Cleveland, with a Mothership tour stop to Case Western Reserve University, a prestigious university in Cleveland. Then on Nov.
11, Clinton travels down to Columbus to the Newport Music Hall, and then
was to have traveled back up to Cleveland and the Agora on Sunday. . ...

But here is the interesting part - Pfunk does not play again until next
Tuesday, Nov. 14, at the Vogue Theatre in Indianapolis, IN. My guess,
and my only guess is that something might still take place. I was
hoping to see George and Sir Nozed'voidofunk and Belita Woods guest on
stage with Prince earlier in the night, and then have Prince return the
favor later at the Agora. That wish might still happen, and it might
not. ...

But at least I have two floor seats to see Prince at my collegiate alma
mater. I could have witnessed at possible 6-plus hours of funk Sunday
night in Cleveland, but I might only be a witness to seeing Prince at
two venues. But the question still remains - an afterparty at Millenium
Club across from Jacobs Field? Or will something happen at Metropolis or
Mirage on the Water or The Odeon (Keb'Mo) in The Flats? ...
