Sharleen Spiteri (Texas) talks about Prince In the press kit I got with the new Texas Greatest Hits CD, singer Sharleen talks about our little friend:
“I was always excited about Prince putting out a killer singles collection, but by the time he did it, the moment seemed to have been lost. It was a wasted opportunity. And some people seem to avoid “Greatest Hits” records altogether, and for the wrong reasons. We have this expression in the band: ‘he/she’s too cool for Christmas’. Now I hate cheapo “Hits” CDs as much as anyone, but people who avoid putting out a “Best Of” when there’s a public demand for it are just being ‘too cool for Christmas’. I don’t buy into all that alternative, trendy rock myth crap…never have done. I buy into great albums full of good songs. I buy into fun!” | |
