Just talked to a lady at Independence Arena who read me the press release for the upcoming ticket sales in Charlotte. VIP tickets are 65.00, other tickets are 50.00 (assuming rest of lower level) and 20.00 (assuming upper levels). VIP tickets are going to be sold by a voucher, which you use to retrieve a ticket for on the day of the concert and you have to present a picture ID because your name will be on the voucher. The lady at Independence Arena said this was to help cut down on scalping.

[Editor's note: For those unfamiliar with lottery systems... they're intended to keep people from spending all night in line. Basically, everyone gets a number, and a number is drawn to determine where the line begins. For instance, if there are 100 people and number 78 is drawn, the person with number 78 gets to be first in line, followed by 79, 80, and so on. After 100, the next person is 1, followed by 2, 3, etc. One way to "beat" a lottery system is to organize some friends and spread out in line; the person with the "best" number then purchases tickets for the group. - MWC]
