Here's our first confirmation on the new tour!



According to today's (Oct. 20) Charlotte Observer, Prince will be performing at the Independence Arena on Sunday, Nov. 26. Tickets for the show - his only stop in NC according to the article - will go on sale Saturday, Oct. 28 at 10:00am through all TicketMaster outlets. Prices and show times were not known at press time.



According to the article, "the two-hour show will mix old and new songs in celebration of Prince's 25 years in the music industry and the reclaiming of his name."



I live approximately two miles from the venue and will be hosting a gathering at my house on the day of the show beginning at 2:00pm. We can watch videos all day (Purple Rain DVD, UTCM, Graffiti Bridge, the 1986 birthday show, '87 SOTT show, '88 Lovesexy show, Rave un2 the Year 2000, etc.) and get to know each other. Hopefully, this can be the beginning of a Carolinas-based fan group. [This idea was presented after the June Celebration and several folks emailed me with interest. Unfortunately, my computer died soon after and I lost all of those email addresses. If you are one of these folks, please accept my apologies for never getting back to you. I figured I would have an opportunity to put out the call again and sure enough here it is! ]
