I too didn't get to the party til about 3am. I didn't know about the chat. I
was just clubbing in Mpls and didn't want to go home. Mayho pretty much
covered everything but I did have one tidbit to add. When Prince came out and
put on the rehearsal tape I was in the lobby. I heard the music and started to
make my way to the Love4oneanother room. John Blackwell comes barrelling into
the lobby from the Love4oneanother room covering his face. I was like, "John,
what's the deal?", as I peeked in to see the video screen. He was like, "He's
showing the rehearsal tape!" I said, "So what's the big deal?" He just kept
repeating, "I can't believe he's showing the tape!" I never got a definative
answer out of him. Maybe he's just the type of muscian that embarrasses
easily. I'm like, what does he have to be embarrassed about? His talent is
off da hook! But John appears to be a pretty modest guy so I'll let you draw
your own conclusions about that one.


On another note, I must say I was quite happy to see how relaxed Geneva was
working with Prince. She was up there popping her gum and taking direction
from him with no problem. I have seen Prince work with other dancers in the
past and they were constantly on pins and needles hoping to either impress him
or at least not mess up. Geneva had the attitude of 'you know what I can do!
I'm just going through the motions now, but you know I'll tear it up during the
tour!' I like this girl! I think the main thing between artists is respect
for each other's talent. Prince wasn't scolding her for not doing the routines
full out.....cuz he knows girlfriend's gonna tear it up! Go on Geneva!
