Last friday I visited a forum about popjournalism in Amsterdam. One of the speakers was the Belgium journalist Serge Simonart. Het told us an interesting story about an interview with Prince in 1996 at the time of the release of Emancipation and the death of Prince and Mayte's child. Serge told us that he also sold that interview to the Londen based magazine The Big Issue wich is sold by the homeless. To his disgrace they only used parts of his interview in a bigger story about the death of the child and other rumours and gossip. Consequently Serge recieved an angry call from Prince himself. "Wich gave me a good oppurtunity to tell him how much i like him" Serge added. Apparantly he is a big Prince fan.

Serge wrote the book 'Fuck Off en andere citaten" (Fuck off and other quotes). I'm gonna order it now and let you know if there is any Prince quote in the book (maybe Bart allready knows that?).
