I may be stretching it a bit, but if we're going to do updates on Maceo, then we might as well do one on Miles Davis, who Prince is more obviously influenced by.
For those of you that are dying for a new DVD, and can't wait until Halloween, do yourself a favor. Pick up the incredible new Miles Davis DVD "Live In Montreal." It's from a performance in 1985. It's been remastered to dolby digital 5.1. I paid over $100 for a rare Japanese laserdisc of this title a few years ago, and am blown away by the quality of this dvd. It's truly a must have for any fan of Prince, and his musical influences.
