I like them both.

I don't have to decide who's 'better' or who has 'aged more gracefully'.

It's not a competition.

Hey locoarts, album sales don't mean an artist is better than another. Heck, Brittany Spears sells more albums than Prince has lately. Does that mean she is better than him? PLEASE!!! Prince is a far better musician, performer and songwriter than the Chili Peppers could ever be. He can do anything musically whereas they are limited in there musical range. Prince can do jazz, blues, classical as well as funk. I can see Prince doing a Chili Peppers song, but I couldn't see the Chili Peppers doing any Prince song.

I have seen Prince 17 times in my life (many at the Celebrations)...and saw the RHCPs last night. No comparison. The RHCP were an over the hill embarassment. Their performance was substandard, and they are still trying to act like they did 15 years ago. Nothing more stoimach churning at this point than Anthony Keidis whirling around with his shirt off. Even Prince has grown out of that.

I love the chilli peppers, and their last two albums have seen them mature into something I never thought they would or could.

I saw both Prince and the chillis live over the last year, and whilst Prince wins hands down for sheer talent and performing presence, the last chillis album was a modern classic. Prince hasnt made an album as good in almost 15 years.

That said Id never choose one over the other, theyre different artists and deserve repect for what theyve acheived as individual acts not for what theyve not acheived in comparison to the other.

Both have matured, and the chillis appear to have done so better because they came from a place that was light years behind where prince was 15 years ago.

I don't have much to say about the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
As i recall they thanked Satan for their success At a Grammy awards show several years ago. i lost interest. Prince is A wonderful God lovin' man. He only gets better in my book!! ANNA A.K.A -pinky banana

The crime of this story is not what the author said or did not say about Prince of RHCP's...the crime is that he fails to review a Queens of the Stone Age set. That is scandalous. These are a splendid set of fellows who encourage wonderful noise from their electrified guitar shapes and, almost to the point of actuality, rock the stage.

Regards Mr P and RHCP I think they should both ignore this journalist. They make good music, they sell out theatres, they have an audience. In five years time this journo won't.
