Author Harold Bloom talks about Prince Author Harold Bloom (How To Read And Why among others) was on C-SPAN-Booknotes program and was stating why he thought The New York Times had went downhill and was a proposterous newspaper. He said part of the reason why,(among others),was that he was reading an article by the papers' music critic who went nameless who went on to say that"The glyph known as Prince is equal in talent to the young Mozart". Harold Bloom is not to be confused with staunch conservative Alan Bloom who wrote "The Closing of the American Mind", a book where he tears down most of modern music and society.Though he looks like the type. This was shown on Aug 3,2000 8 P.M. | |
